Title: Flowers of Maryland

Acrylic on fabric

A 10" x 12" Acrylic on Aida cloth... yes, it's an open-weave fabric commonly used for embroidery... sounds weird though but relax... it's just a painting.  I've done acrylic portrait on a mat made of palm (banig) that turned out pretty well.

I'm going to use it as a design cover for my new project "hand crafted journal" soon on Etsy! and the original artwork,  I would probably just hang it on the wall,  that is on our living room.

So, I wish I could hurry up and finish it soon=)

Have a nice weekend!!!

Very Pretty Flory...you could add some stitches to it to give it added texture if you like to embroider at all...I've just started it after years of doing counted cross stitch...find it very relaxing. Hope you have a great weekend as well, fondly, Roberta

  1. I had to chuckle at, "relax - - - it's just a painting." Easy for you to say - - - obviously you CAN paint. Trying to do that would tie me all up in knots for I have not the skill!

  1. Oh, I think this is wonderful! the colors are great and t just looks so happy! You are one talented lady!

When I first saw your painting, it reminded me of my husbands tool area. I know...HUH? He put peg board up and then painted a sunset scene of a large city skyline. It is all in deep blues and purples.
